There isn't too much going on this weekend. Last night we watched Tyler Perry's The Family That Preys. Which was a wonderful movie. I just love Tyler Perry's movies. This morning, I did all of my house cleaning for the week!! I got them done early today so that I could have the rest of the weekend to relax. The rest of today I don't plan on doing too much. We have a Superbowl party to go to tomorrow at a friends house. I am planning on bringing a mini chocolate chip cheesecake, and something else also. But havn't decidced what yet. I love baking, but would rather not make stuff just for me, so I take advantage of having get togethers and make a few dishes. I am looking forward to seeing everybody there, but not the game. I could care less about football--or any sport for that matter. I already forgot who was even playing!! I will share the recipes for the stuff that I brought to the party later on this week!!
Have a wonderful rest of the weekend and a safe one!!

Week Review!
Hello! This week seems like it just flew by!! Even though I didn't have too much going on this week. The snow didn't keep me from going to work any this week, but did make me drive way slower than I would of on a regular day. The snow was beautiful to watch though. Theres something about snow that it just so pretty. Thanks to the snow, I got to spend lunch with my 'whole' family on day. Which was a good time! Ecspecially since my sister made us all tacos!
Last night for dinner, I made flatbread pizzas. We have a new kind of flatbread at the store, and it looked good so I decided to give it a try. I just put a thin layer of pizza sauce, canadian bacon, pepperoni and a small amount of mozzarella cheese. I baked them on 350 for about 6 minutes (about when the cheese was melted). They were awesome! And so easy to make! Pat (my boss) also got some and made a panini out of his, he wasn't too impressed with them. And Jason (co-worker) made quesidillas out of his and he loved them. So you should defidently give flatbread a chance, since at one point I wouldn't even try them.
Tonight is a pretty relaxing one. After work, I visted with mom for a little bit and then went home to finish shoveling snow. While rascal tried to help me :) . Tonight I don't have any shows on, and might go to bed early. Tommorrow will be busy at work. Friday is truck day, last day of the week, and I get my sale signs to sort. I love Fridays, I never have to look for something to do. And for the truck, that is a way to get up and moving, which is why I like NOT having a desk job--how boring!! I have to be and doing something.
Well have a great Friday everyone!!!

The Return of Grunge Rock

I have forgotten what it was like to have to listen to commercials while listening to the radio. I have had a Sirius Radio on my T.V. for the last couple of years, and never listen to the real radio anymore. I have always listened to Sirius Octane...but recently found the best station ever! Sirius Lithium. They play all of the 90's grunge rock, which is the stuff that is hard to find on the radio. So if you like Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam and other 90's bands, you should check this station out!
Today was frantic around the store. Everybody was trying to stock up for the snow storm that is coming. It isn't here yet, but should be soon if they are correct. Hopefully it won't be as bad as they are saying right now! For dinner tonight, I made jambalaya. I just love that stuff!! After dinner I took a long, relaxing bubble bath! Tonight, I am going to do some little projects around the house, and try to do a few exercises in. My show Diet Tribe is on at 9:00. And that pretty much sums up my Monday!
I hope everyone is safe in the hazardous weather tommorrow!!

My New Work Out Plan
Tommorrow I am going to start my weight lifting again. I used to lift during highschool, but I got out of the routine. I am going to start out doing every other night for 30 minutes. I am lucky because my dad has equipment, so I don't have to go to the gym. I am looking forward to having muscles like I used to a couple of years ago. I went to a website and caculated my BMI (Body Mass Index). And wasn't very happy in my results. I read that when you are wanting to have a child that your BMI should be at a healthy range, so I want to get that number down a little bit.
I did good in the last week and this past weekend. I am trying to cut back on my snacking and any junk food. Which makes me feel like I have a lot more energy. So I plan on sticking to this plan. I am looking forward to this spring when we will be able to walk around town. Thats just more fun than the treadmill. That is something to look forward to.

Weekend Recap
This weekend was eventful and went by fast!!
Friday--Matt ended up going gigging with some of his friends. He left around 6:00 and I decided that I didn't want to sit and watch T.V. all night, so I decided to call mom to see if she wanted to go to Rolla with me to get some groceries. We had a blast!! We went to Walmart, Aldi, and Tacobell. We always have fun on our little outings, no matter what they are!!!
Saturday--In the morning I got my house cleaning done for the day. And that night I had mom, dad, Malinda, Mat and my uncle Kenny over to have fried chicken. We had a good time, and a good meal. Plus, I got to try out my new cast iron skillet that my Grandma gave me, which worked perfectly!! After everyone left, I watched Prayers for Bobby, which was a great movie. After that, we weren't tired, and it was still early. So we put in one of the movies from Netflix this week, Tropic Thunder. I didn't really like the movie. Just not my type I guess.
Sunday--I went to church in the morning, and we had a church dinner afterwards of ham and beans. Which we had a good time. After that I went home for a little while, and then came back into town around 3:00 to visit with the family. For dinner I had smoked pork chops. I am taking the leftovers for lunch tommorrow, which I am looking forward to :)
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!

A Nice Change in the Weather!!
Hello!! Today was such a beautiful day!! I spent some time with mom after work today, and then went home and played with the animals for a little while. Tonight I don't have much going on. I don't have any shows on, so I might try to go to bed early. This weekend isn't going to be too busy. I am having the family over to eat fried chicken on Saturday. And on Sunday, there is a church dinner. But other than that, I don't have much going on this weekend.
I hope everyone enjoyed the nice weather today!!

Resolutions Update
Here is an update on my resolutions...
- I havn't bought a soda since December!! Which is pretty good for me. And I feel much more energized since I have quit drinking soda.
- I have been eating healthier, but could do better. Its hard to eat healthy when I go to mom and dad's, because they always have junk food there. Not that I can't have will power, but its hard to not eat something when everyone else is eating it. But I've been doing better.
That how my resolutions have been going!! As you have seen, I havn't gave them up yet!!
The Best Chicken Alfredo

I have found the best 'boxed dinner'. It is chicken alfredo from the Macaroni Grill. It tastes better than any other convience meal I've tried. It was only about $3.50 plus the chicken, which isn't that bad for good alfredo.
Other than dinner, my day was uneventful. I got up early to make homemade waffles on my new waffle iron. I just love using it! Work was great. And I had a good time at lunch with mom, and after work also:)
Tonight I am going to walk 20 minutes on treadmill. Then I am going to watch a new episode of 'the bad girls club'. Have a good night!!

A Quiet Monday
Howdy! Today was great. I went to work, and had a good day as always. Had lunch with the family since they were all off work. I also went over there after work to visit, and had a good time. There was a blood drive at church tonight. Matt went to give, but last time I gave I felt a little sick, so I decided to take a month off. I'll try to give next month. For dinner I made sloppy joes and baked some tator tots (they are so much better in the oven, instead of deep fryed). Tonight I am going to walk on the treadmill and watch a new episode of Diet Tribe. It is going to be an easy going Monday night!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday!!

Sunday
Our Sunday was kind of eventful. This morning I went to church. After church I went to eat lunch at mom and dads. We had a good time together. After lunch we switched a matress from my house to their house. For dinner we went to Matts dad's and stepmoms house for ham and all of the fixins. I don't see them too much so every now and then its good to get together and have a nice dinner. There are a lot of people off tomorrow for Martin Luther's day. But I will be going to work.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!!

A Recap
Hello! We didn't have an eventful Friday night. I went to mom and dads after work for a little while and visted with mom for a little while. Then I came home and made Maid-Rite burgers for dinner. For those of you not familiar with their burgers, they are just ground up hamburger. I like them occassionally. I have only ate at there I think twice in my whole life, once with a friend when I was younger, and with mom and grandma a couple of years ago when we ran over to Rolla for a while. I'd rather cook than go out, so I don't eat out as much as a lot of people do. After dinner, we watched American Carol. It was a good movie, it was a movie that made fun of Michel Moore. I didn't know who he was, so if I knew who he was, it would of probualy been better.
Today, I did a few chores this morning, and then I went into town to visit with the family. We just visited, watched my dads wonderful speech that he did on 'wild game' this past week at a convention at the lake, and we tried to find a lost dog. The lady up the street was yelling for her dog this morning, It was so sad. She doesn't have any kids, so the dog was more than a dog to her. She came down and asked us if we have seen it, so we told her we'd keep an eye out for it. Later on, dad was taking a walk to the bottom of the hill, and he saw the dog in Mae's yard, so we tried to run and get it but it was too scared. Hopefully it will return home soon.
Tonight, dad was working at the Eagles Club, so I decided invite, mom, Mat and Malinda to go out there and eat. I had a grilled chicken breast. Which was fantastic. We visted, ate, and enjoyed each others company. After dinner, mom and I went home while Matt stayed and visted with friends. We visted at home, until dad called for us to pick him up. Then, us three had some ice cream, kind of like the old times, just us three spending time together, which I really do enjoy! I came home around ten. It was defidently a wonderful Saturday!

This and That
Hello! Its hard to believe that it was so warm one day last week, that we could wear shorts and today we could barely even go outside. I stayed clear of carry outs today..way too cold to go outside over & over for me!! There isn't too much else going on with us lately. We had hamburger helper last night and left over roast beef tonight. Linn Catering did SUCH a good job on the food (ecspecially the roast beef!)...I hope that my wonderful sister picks that for her wedding in May!!
When I came home from work today, Rascal & the cats and came running from his dog house--they 3 sleep in his dog house, it is so cute--and they wanted in the garage, which I had to let them in, they just looked so sad watching me out the window! They never come in the house, because I saw what having animals in the house did to my parents house, which wasn't hard to tell that wasn't a good idea!!
We got two movies from our Netflix today. We got Iron Man and American Carol, which will give us something to watch this weekend, instead of reruns of shows you've seen way too many times:) Last night my show The Bad Girls Club was on, and tonight The Real World Brooklyn is on. Even though it is the 20 something season of it, I still like it. And this year they seem to have gotten back into the meaning of "The Real World" with different types of people. I am looking forward to watching it this season.
Before I watch my show I think that I will walk on the treadmill for a little while and put away some dishes. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday and try to stay warm!

Monday
Today wasn't very busy at all. Work was so, as it always seems to be on Mondays. Malinda was off work today, so she had lunch with mom and I. Which was fun! After work I went down to the house to visit with mom. For dinner we had leftover roastbeef from our wedding--which is the best roast beef I've ever had!!--with that we had mashed potatoes (homemade), corn, and macoroni and cheese--can you say starch overload!! As long as you don't eat like that everyday, it shouldn't matter. Tonight there is another episode of 24 --- can you believe that it is a 2-HOUR show!?!? Who has the time and patience to sit there for two hours watching the same show!! While Matt is watching that, I am going to walk on the treadmill, and maybe do some pilates. It gets over at 9:00, just when my show starts. Tonight I have two shows on--at the same time. Real Chance of Love season finale and another episode of Diet Tribe. Both are good shows, and I havn't decided what show I'm going to end of watching. I'll fill you in on which show I watch tomorrow!!
I hope everyone had a good Monday!!

A Quiet Sunday
Today wasn't very busy at all. This morning I woke up to get ready for church and Matt was making breakfast for us. I usually make breakfast for myself during the week because he doesn't really eat breakfast. So on the weekends I usually get lucky and he cooks breakfast for me :)
After church, I went back home for a little while to do some last minute cleaning. After that I went into town to visit with my parents. We always have a good time visting. Thats a highlight of my weekend.
For dinner we had leftovers. I love to cook, but I don't like having a lot of leftovers. I can eat leftovers for lunch during the week, but other than that, I don't like eating them.
Tonight we are watching a new episode of 24 and The Unit. Matt likes both of those shows. I didn't at first, but they are growing on me.
I hope everyone has a good Monday!

My Best Friend (while doing dishes!)
Here is the directions for the nylon net ball in case you want to make one!
You'll need one-half yard of 72-inch-wide nylon net (found at fabric stores), fishing line, a large needle and scissors. Cut the nylon net into three 6-inch-by-72-inch strips and lay the three strips on top of one another evenly. Take a large needle, thread it and begin sewing down the middle of the strips in long basting stitches. When you reach the end, hold the fishing line in one hand and pull back on the nylon net to form a bunch of nylon net. Secure by wrapping the thread around the center of the bunch, then tie into a tight knot. Trim the ends and separate the layers so they make a ball
My Latest Kitchen Decorations
Here is a picture of my 'new' spice jars that my Mom gave me. She let my sister and I play with them in our kitchen sets that Grandma and Grandpa gave us. And we didn't think anything of it. In the last few years, mom and I have been going to antique shops and noticed that in just about everyone that we have been to there has been the same spice tins, for about $3.00 each! We had no idea they were worth so much. So we dug them out of the dungeon, and I took them to my house to decorate my hutch. I think they look just great there!

Our Pets
Here is a Picture of our pets. Milo is the orange cat, Cali is the calico one, and Rascal is the dog. They are all great animals, but they havn't always been. Rascal was really out of control when we got him, but now he isn't near as bad. He was a Christmas gift from Matt in 2007 to me. This picture is them in front of our first Christmas tree!!
New Years Resolutions
I didn't really have one planned this year, but did decide some last minute goals.
- I decided not to buy soda anymore. Especially single bottles or cans. I calculated how much I was spending if I bought a soda Mon-Fri every week at $1.29 and it was a very shocking number. You don't think that its that much, but it adds up everyday. And a case of soda is $7.00 pretty much everywhere you go, which is outrageous. I have been taking a bottle of water everyday with me to work and using Crystal Light on the go. Which is better than soda anyway.
- I also decided to start trying to eat right and take more vitamins. That seem to be everybody's new years resolution, but mine isn't to lose a bunch of weight, just get healthier.
- My last one was to try to get in contact with family members that I don't see very much, even though they live in my town, we don't talk at all. Life is too short to go on like that. At this years book sale in town, I bought a book called "How to make Peace with Anyone" I am going to start reading it and will keep you posted on how it is.
That's pretty much it, I will let you know how they go.
Trip to Jefferson City
Matt and I went to Jefferson City today. We went to sears to pick up his air compressor, and were going to go to Walmart, but as much of you know, Walmart is WAY too busy for me on Saturdays, so we went to Target. With 1/4 of the people at Walmart, it was much more calm and quiet. I needed some for cleaning supplies and a few groceries, that seem to be way cheaper than the grocery store in town:)
When we went to Sears I noticed that KB Toys is going out of business. I told Matt that its too bad that we don't have kids yet, because I bet there was a lot of good buys. I didn't know that Garfield's was closed too. It seems like everything is going out of business lately.
It was a good outing. Since I work in town, I don't leave town too much. Matt on the other hand was a very long drive to work, so it probably wasn't as exciting as it was for me!

This Weekend...
We don't have too much going on this weekend. I wish that the beautiful weather that we had today would last this weekend! But we can't be that lucky.
Tonight-I made hamburger helper for dinner and we are going to watch one of the movies we received from Netflix.
Saturday- Matt and I are planning on going to Jefferson City in the morning to pick up his air compressor from sears. And of course, I will have to make a trip to Walmart while we are up there:)
When we get back, I am going into town to help My mom clean out our storage room in the basement.
That night, we will probably stay home, but you never know.
Sunday-I am going to church and then have lots of house cleaning to do!
It will be Monday before I know it!

For starters...
I have decided to start a blog to keep a few family members and friends involved in my life that I don't see everyday. So here we go...
