Weekend Recap!!

Friday--MY LAST FRIDAY AT THE STORE!! Matt and I went to Rolla to get trees. We ended up getting four. I will post pictures of them later. Other than that Friday was uneventful!

Saturday--Did some house cleaning in the morning. Then mom and I went to Jefferson City to do some shopping. I really needed some new dress clothes. I had some luck...I just really hate shopping for clothes!! Then we met the girls at El Jimador to start Malinda's bachloerette party. We all had a blast!!

Sunday-- A little house cleaning, laundry and relaxing. Went into town to visit with everyone, mow and walk around town. I had a pretty calm day!

This week....

• Need to plant my garden. Matt got it ready for me on Saturday. I am looking forward to seeing how it turns out!
• Getting my hair cut on Wednesday...Its not going to be a lot different..but a change. I can't wait!!
• Wednesday is my last day at the store :( It is going to be sad leaving for good!!
• Thursday is going to be busy! I have a lot of cleaning to do and outside projects...I think it will be a productive day!
• Friday and Saturday is the NHRA Drag Races in St. Louis. I am looking forward to them! Dad and I go every year...its kinda tradition!
• Sunday is the Catholic church dinner and I get to wait tables...so that should be fun!!
• MONDAY.....I start my NEW JOB!!! I can't wait!!!! :):)

Tonight I tried my new standing mixer..and I LOVE it!! I don't think that I will be using my hand mixer very much at all anymore. I made a batch of cookies...and it seemed way easier with the standing mixer. I suggest anyone that doesn't have one to get one...I thought that I wouldn't use mine..I proved my self wrong!!

When they built the new highschool, we went over to the school and got bricks from the old school. Karen made flower stands with some bricks and it looked pretty neat. So I decided to do that also. I will post pictures of it later..I think it turned out nice.

The weather has been really nice the last few days..but the wind kills me!! I hung laundry on the line today..I'm surprised it didn't fly off the line!!

My job list it getting smaller..which I am relieved about!!

It is already almost Wednesday...this week is going by fast :)

Weekend Recap!!

Friday--I went to Rolla to get groceries and other things so that when I start me new job I won't have to run to the store everyday. After that I went to mom and dads house to visit with them for a little while.

Saturday--I went to an auction in town. I didn't buy anything, but I still had fun. Malinda and mom bought a few things, so it was fun to visit with them and watch them buy stuff. That night I went to mom and dads, then to Malinda and Mat's house. We all had a good time.

Sunday--Went to church and then to the taco dinner afterwards. The trash pickup was cancelled because of the rain...hopefully it won't be too long before it gets too hot out.After church I went home, washed the inside of my windows and the screens, and other random things. We got carryouts from the Brinktown dinner. The food was very good! Tonight I went to town to tan, ran by Malinda's house, then to mom and dads. It was a very relaxing Sunday!!

Today was busy!! After work I went home to mow the yard...got that done..and if I say so myself it looks wonderful!! After that, I picked up trash by our house. It is unreal how much trash there is needed to be picked up!! The part that I did wasn't even that long of a stretch...but I ended up with two large bags. And the part I did is adopted by someone. I don't get why people adopt highways and don't even pick up at all. This Sunday, our church is having a pickup for our adopted highway. I used to pick up that highway a lot..but haven't gotten around to it in a while. I am hoping the weather will be nice Sunday so we will be able to do it.

I have a two page list of things that I want done before I start me new job. So far I have 2 items marked off...wish me luck!!

Tomorrow after work I am going to mow mom and dads yard. And then for dinner Ron and Liz are taking us to dinner in Rolla for my birthday. I am looking forward to it!! I don't see them too much..so it is nice to catch up everynow and then.

No Longer a Retail Worker!!

That's right!! In May I will be working at the Court House!! I am really looking forward to it!! The lady that I will be working for is really nice and the jobs seems easy, but interesting. The best part about this job is that I didn't even have to apply for it!! She saw my ad in the newspaper for our wedding and saw how I went to Metro Business College. So she called me and asked me if I would like the job.

Its full time, retirement, health insurance, holidays, vacation, sick leave..basically everything!!

I will miss the store and everyone that I work with, but in the long run this is the best decision.

I can't wait!!

Easter/My Birthday

Today was a wonderful day! As all of you know my 21st birthday was today! Even though I didn't take a sip of alchohol, I still had so much fun! This morning--didn't make it to sunrise service or the breakfast..but made it to the regular service. After church I went home to make my twice baked potatoes to take to the Rowden get together. They turned out pretty good..and I only made it home with 6 potatoes..which means they were a good turn out! We had a lot of fun with his family. After that we went home for a little while, then went to my parents house for cake and ice cream.

My gifts
--I got a very nice phone call from my Grandma and Jim. They song happy birthday to me, which was a gift in its self!! I can't wait to see her and everyone in May for Malinda's wedding..defidently something to look forward to!!
--Malinda and Mat got me a dove gift set w/ lotion, soap, bodywash, a loathe, and deoderant. And the movie Marley and Me...now that I have the movie I can watch it in my own house so I don't have to cry in public!! If you haven't seen that movie you really need to check it out..its a tear jerker!!
--Mom and Dad got me a bush for Easter. I haven't decided were to plant it yet,. but I will come up with a spot soon. This way Matt will have another obstacle to mow around:)...they also gave me a standing mixer. I am really looking forward to using this!! I think that it will come in handy for pretty much anything...I will let you know how it works when I try it out!!
--Matt got me earings..which I can't wait to wear!! And he ordered the other side to my wedding ring..but its not in yet...that just gives me something to look forward to!!..I really do think I have the best husband!!

Over all I had a GREAT day!! I hope everyone had a great Easter!!!

Saturday Night

Tonight we are having mom and dad over for dinner. We are having hamburgers, twice baked potatoes, fresh garden salad, and texas toast. For dessert I made banana cake with cream cheese icing. I think everything will be pretty good. It has been a while since we've had them out, so this should be a good night.

Tomorrow is my 21st birthday!! I am probualy the only 21 year old you won't be getting loaded on her birthday, I am going to enjoy it by going to church and spending time with family. I am just not into drinking at all...which isn't a bad thing!!

Easter Plans--going to church tomorrow morning...not sure if I will get up early enough to eat at the sunrise service..but I'll try!! After that, I am going to come home and get my dish ready to take to Matt's grandpa's house. I am thinking about making twice baked potatoes. I will be using russets instead of bakers, that way I can fit more on my baking sheet than just a few bakers. I absolutely love twice baked potatoes!!! If you can't tell!!

Random...

• Went to church tonight with mom and dad. It was a good service and had a good message along with it. Karen does such a good job!! I enjoy listening to her speak!!
• I have two new shows coming on soon...Daisy of Love--Daisy was on the second season of Rock of Love. She was one of the finalist, but Bret didn't pick her. That is the reason that I didn't watch the third season of Rock of Love..she was my absolute favorite girl..the show premeires on April 26th...New York Goes to Work is the other one...she was on Flavor of Love, and then the second season, and then made her own shows I Love New York and New York goes to Hollywood...all which were great shows...basically just mindless T.V., but what can I say..I love shows like that!! I can't wait!!
• I am planning what I will be planting in my garden this year. I am looking forward to garden tomatoes and corn on the cob. Delicious!!
• Also, I am trying to decide what kind of trees to plant at the house. We need some big ones to the west..haven't decided what kinds to plant yet...but will be decided soon!!
• A good friend of mine had twins this past week 3 months early. And she only thought she was only having one baby. The babies are doing good so far, but they have an uphill battle. Please keep mom Kindra, and babies Austin and Dalton in your prayers!!
• Tomorrow is Friday and it couldn't have came any sooner!!!
• This weekend---church tomorrow night, house cleaning Saturday, My 21st birthday on Sunday and Easter, it is probualy going to be a busy weekend!!

Recent Happenings...

--Malinda and Mat became home owners this past week! The bought a cute little house in town. The one thing that I love about it is that it was a wrap around porch..I am a really big fan of those! I also love the 'old' features of the house. It will be neat to see it when it is all done and they are moved in.

--A friend let me borrow the book Twlight. I am going to start it tomorrow night. I am looking forward to seeing what it is all about. She isn't a big reader either. So maybe I can actually get into this book. I'll keep you posted!!

--Today was full of cleaning everything. I hung laundry and deep cleaned various things around the house. I love hanging clothes on the line, I am so glad that the weather was nice enough for me to do so!!

--Tonight went to dinner at Matts parents. They had ham and beans, corn bread, and a salad prepared. All which was very good! Liz mixed white and brown beans, which turned out better than just one bean I think. I usually don't like ham and beans...but I really liked hers.

--Tomorrow is supposed to be nasty out. I don't have too much planned. Community church is tomorrow night. I'm not sure what I am making to take.
