Weekend Plans!

Today- I am uploading ALL of my pictures from the time Tyler was born until now to Walmart.com. Then I am gong to order them, them maybe I can start a scrapbook! I already have a 'memory book' from Hallmark that I have done, but it doesn't have to many pictures in it. I can't believe how many pictures I have taken! Lucky for me we are in a digital world- and not film!
After work tonight, I am getting a massage- so excited about that!

Saturday- I am going to take Tyler to the Conservation exhibit that is going to be in town. Other than that I have no plans! Yay!

Sunday- Going to Church in the morning. I have a Tastefully Simple party at a friend's house in the afternoon. And I am hoping the weather will be nice and I can try out the new stroller!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Randoms!

* I just got told I might have to be a witness in a court hearing this morning! People are fighting over property and I just have to say that they have been paying the taxes since 1963. How cool is that?!

* Tonight, Malinda and I are going to get a spray tan for the year! I am ready for some color!

* Friday I am getting a massage- the one that I kept having to reschedule about 2 months ago. I am so looking forward to it!

* Tyler took a couple of steps on Monday! He was pushing his musical table around and let go! He is so close to just taking off!

* I ordered a new stroller. I am keeping the one I have now, but it isn't the type to take on walks and doesn't work well on gravel. This one is a jogging one, and will be good to use on our driveway - which is long and make a good hill to walk up and down. The stroller I have now, I will use for taking places, etc. I hope it works out well!

* I have been doing good at eating well lately! It sure takes some getting used to though! Also, now that I don't get up at 3:00 in the morning to pump anymore, I ave been getting up and working out in the mornings. Which works out great!

Here are a couple of pictures of Tyler I took last night! Can you tell we had just had dinner!? :)

He loves the 'Chuck' trucks!
He is always jumping in the ball pit from Rata! It is so cute!

I hope everyone is having a great week so far!

Weekend Recap!

Friday- I walked after work- have I mentioned I LOVE this weather??!

Saturday- Was a pretty lazy day for me. I don't think I did much of anything. It was kind of a dreary day out, so we stayed in and played all day! For dinner, Matt and I had our date night! We ate at Red Lobster and enjoyed each others company!
Sunday- We went to Church, and the dinner afterwards. I made teddy tarts without the teddy grams- they were quick, low fat and tasty! :)
That afternoon I walked around town and did a few things around the house. For dinner, we had Ron and Liz over for ham and beans, corn bread and peanut butter bars for dessert!
They had to babysit Jake and Lauren, so they came too. Jake can almost sit up without falling over! Can't believe he is almost 7 months old already!
A picture with the Grandparents!- Even Granny Alice (in the picture frame) I didn't notice that earlier! :)
We are just missing Caleb or we would have a group picture of the kiddos!

Monday- (State Holiday= a day off for me!!) - Malinda, Tyler and I went to Rolla for some light shopping and we had lunch at Pizza Hut. Tyler really liked their cinnamon bread sticks! I didn't find too much while shopping. I did find 2 new sleepers for Tyler. I was getting so tired of all his sleepers being either reindeer or snowmen! :)

Once we got home, we went to Mom and Dad's to visit for a bit. Matt had to work late so Tyler and I had a fun evening at home by ourselves! We ate dinner, I gave Tyler a bath and played with all his toys! It was a great day off!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

New Things!

Here is a computer like I used to use at work. I didn't realize how small it was until I got this one......

....I am in love!! I don't think I could go back to a small screen again!

My new purse! Don't let the label fool you. It might be Tommy Hilfiger, but I got it at TJ Maxx, so it was only $20!

Recipes From Saturday

Goodness....three posts today! I am really doing good at this blogging thing this week :)

1 cup white vanilla baking chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup red, white and pink candy-coated chocolate candies (You can really use whatever color of M&Ms you like)
1/4 cup red or pink jimmies sprinkles

In large bowl, place cereal. In small microwavable bowl, microwave baking chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on High 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted and smooth. Pour peanut butter mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated.
Place 1/2 of the cereal mixture in 1-gallon food-storage plastic bag. Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool, about 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, stir candies and sprinkles into remaining cereal mixture. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool, about 15 minutes.
In serving bowl, mix both cereal mixtures. Store in airtight container.

Everyone LOVED it! And Tyler couldn't get enough!

Sausage Cups
Recipe From: I got it from someone, but not sure where it came from originally.

One package won tons
1pound sausage, cooked and drained
1 cup ranch dressing- next time I won't be using that much ranch dressing. That is WAY too much!
2 cups shredded cheese
Place won tons in a lightly greased cupcake pan and bake for five minutes. Mix all the rest if the ingredients together and spoon into pan and bake for another 5 minutes.

--------------------------------
Baked Macaroni and Cheese
Recipe From: Betty Crocker
(I didn't get a picture of it- but trust me it looked good!)

7 oz uncooked penne pasta (rounded 2 cups)
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 cups milk
2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (8 oz)

Heat oven to 350°F. Cook and drain pasta as directed on package.
While pasta is cooking, in 3-quart saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Stir in flour, seasoned salt, mustard, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and bubbly; remove from heat. Stir in milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute; remove from heat. Using wire whisk, stir in cheese until melted.
Gently stir pasta into cheese sauce. Spoon into 4 ungreased 8-oz ramekins/gratin dishes or 10-oz custard cups. Place filled cups in shallow baking pan (or cookie sheet with sides).
Bake uncovered 20 to 25 minutes or until bubbly.

Randoms!

*For Tyler's party, I bought a new kind of dressing. It was Light Raspberry Vinaigrette. I am in love with it now! I brought a spinach salad for lunch and some of the dressing. It is a good change from ranch!
* Tyler isn't using bottles at all anymore! It seems crazy that it is time to put the bottles away already!

* I have been wanting to make split pea soup lately- I think I might tackle it this weekend!

* I am already excited about having another Monday off! I love three day weekends :)

* The weather has been gorgeous this week! Us girls ( plus Tyler ) have been walking in the evenings and it is so nice to get out and get to moving again!

* I have been trying to eat better, and today I had a apple for breakfast- so far I'm not starving- yet! :)

* Just a tidbit of information: Today was my actual due date!

* I have been browsing books online for a friend's upcoming baby shower. And I am in love with Eric Carle's books! We have two at home: A Very Busy Spider, and The Hungry Caterpillar. I might have to order Tyler a couple when I order some for the shower :)

I hope everyone is having a great week!

Birthday Cake=Take Two!

We gave Tyler some of his leftover cake earlier this week. He loved it even more than at his party! I don't think he liked everybody starring at him at the party! haha!

I really like this one! It is my background for my computer now :)

Kind of blurry, but still cute!

And up close look at his upper teeth!

Tyler's 1 Year Check-up and His New Car seat!

The car seat isn't actually new.. just moved to front facing now! And he loves it!!! He laughs and talks the whole time I am driving!

Tyler's appointment went very well!! He is now 24 lbs and 30 3/4 tall! He is in the 70's in both categories for his age. He got three shots, but they didn't seem to bother him too much after I picked him up :)

I can't remember if I told you all this yet or not ( I can't remember who I tell what anymore) ... but he now has 5 teeth! And is so close to walking! He can stand up on his own- without help from anything! It is so crazy to see him do that!!

And he is pretty much off the bottles. We never used bottles at home, so it wasn't too hard to get him to transition from nursing to a sippy cup. He loves his sippy cup and does real well with it. And the most exciting thing about this is.....I am DONE pumping!!!! The last time I fed him was Friday night. It is kind of sad that I won't be feeding him anymore- because I actually enjoyed that. But the whole pumping thing I won't miss at all!!! These last few weeks I kind of felt like those dieting commercials where the scale is chained to the persons ankle... only my pump was! Haha! I bet the other nursing/past nursing mothers can relate with me!!! :)

It is so much fun to see him do different things everyday! He is such a good natured little boy!

Mom went with us to Tyler's appointment. Matt met me at the doctors office to go the appointment with me though- I am so glad to have a husband that actually wants to go to the appointments with me, he was like that when I was pregnant too. Such a good guy!

Mom and I went to Target, and TJ Maxx. I found a purse that I love - will post later!

First Ride In The Wagon!

Sunday, Malinda, Mom and I took a walk around town and Tyler was able to ride in his new wagon!! He loved it!

Love this one!

What a sweetie!

He looks like he was getting bored with us! haha!

Tyler's First Birthday Party!

These pictures aren't in any order...I was going to try to organize them, but that would of taken forever!

Opening presents!!

Caleb & Tyler playing before the chaos of opening presents! Caleb loved playing with Tyler's bobble penguin!

The party hats!!! ...does anyone have any advice onto what to do with the hats now!? I hate to just throw them away...
Dad picked up the meat for us! I love the heart shaped one! And it was delicious!!!!!!!

Appetizers! Deer sticks and vegetable tray courtesy of Malinda. And then sausage cups and chex mix that I made!

Aren't you impressed that my apron even matched the John Deere theme!? :)

Some of the decorations!
I figured Tyler's future big boy room will be John Deere. And I thought this would be neat to have hanging in it. Everybody signed it with a special message to him!

Garden salad and homemade bread! Mom gets credit for the bread!

I could eat these potatoes everyday I think!

Homemade mac n' cheese, steak and grilled chicken!

Having dinner!

the mac n' cheese was Tyler's fav!
Pastor Karen came!

More decorations!

I thought the banner would be a neat keepsake!

Our dry erase board was even celebrating his birthday! haha
and the flowers are the ones from church that we bought for him last week!

Sisterly Love!!!
Let me tell you... I could not of pulled this off without her!!!! Thanks for everything, Malinda!
Group Picture!

Cousinly Love!
More presents!

Malinda filled this wagon with wrapped gifts. It was his favorite gift I think!!

Mose loves parties!

Caleb could fit into the box with the lid shut! I didn't realize he was that small!

Tyler's personal cake!

The 'big' cake! It looked great and tasted just as good! I was impressed!

Another try on the group pic! Tyler didn't like his hat too much!
The party favor box. I ordered party favors for Caleb and Nate (our adored babysitters Grandson). Inside was a stuffed cow, notepad, crayons, stickers, etc.

Mose loved Liz!
who needs presents when you have a real phone to play with!!? haha!

Do you think we have enough toys yet?!

I made these paper chains Thursday night. I thought they looked cool, and they were the cheapest decoration we used! And they are still up, I'm not going to leave them up forever- but I do like the way they look!

Cake time!
'Why are they singing again!?'
Caleb got to blow the candle out!
yum!

that boy loves his sweets! :)

would of been a good picture, but Mama just had to try to wipe a booger off his face before we took the picture! Lol

This is Tyler and I once everyone left! (please ignore my apparel!)
Tyler just laid on my lap and fell asleep!!! That never happens..so we knew the little guy 'partied hard'!! :)

My view! What a sweetheart!

...also, I will be posting a few recipes from the night in a few days!

..and sorry for there being SO mnay pics...once I got started uploading I kept finding more and more I wanted to show you! :)
