Randomness of the Week!!!!

* Tyler almost made it across the whole living room walking two nights ago!!! It was so cool to watch! It is just amazing what he learns everyday. He is such a smart boy- well, I guess I am a little partial : )

* My 'meal plan' has been going great! I haven't had to run to the store everyday like I had been to get last minute ingredients for dinner! Tonight it is just Tyler and I (Matt has class) and we are having grilled chicken alfredo! I am already hungry!

* The weather is supposed to be wonderful this weekend! I can't wait!

* Tomorrow is snack day at work. I am bringing monkey bread and apple dumplings. I love snack days- so many good things to choose from!

* I am also leaving work early tomorrow for a late afternoon dentist appointment. So that will switch up my week and make Thursday go by fast!

* Our babysitter is off on Friday, and Dad is watching Tyler. I don't know who is looking forward to it more, Dad or Tyler??! : )

* We got our taxes done last night. We are getting a lot back from the Federal and have to pay a little to the State. I'm not complaining!!! :)

* I found Tyler these shoes at JCPenney online. I was able to get a good deal on them, and I am hoping they work good for him! They even light up!

* Our house plans still aren't completely drawn up yet. Matt's Aunt has been busy with her brother (and Matt's Uncle), Mike. So we have no clue when she will be available to draw them up for us.

Mike has been in and out of the hospital- and I have no clue what the update on him is, but I think he is still in Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St Louis. We are hoping he gets to feeling better soon!

* I just saw in our local paper a 1 1/2 year old passed away. How tragic. I can't imagine that being Tyler. I don't know the boy, or his family, but my prayers are with them. How sad..

Here are some of Tyler's artwork he made while finger painting Saturday! The pictures of him actually painting were on a different camera card than the one this were on, so I will have to post them later.

Little hand prints!! Matt's cousin sent us this hand print kit. The left one didn't go all the way through, but I didn't want to try to fix it, because it might of ended up looking worse. But I think it still looks good! I need to put his picture in it still.

I used to have the lap top on this little table, but we moved the lap top out of the living room. So now this table is Tyler's play table! He loves moving his trucks on it!

After Tyler went to bed one night this week, I let in Mose for some TLC! He is the best cat to cuddle with!

Saturday was a very nasty day! The snow is pretty, but I am so over it! I honestly don't think I have been so tired of the snow/cold weather before! Notice Tyler's little swing on the clothes line? Wish we could of played on it this past weekend- darn snow! Tyler watching the snow..

They say this weekend is supposed to be nice.. hopefully they are right!!!

Weekend Recap!

• * We have almost got the late bills ready to be mailed! Which means pictures of little Tyler to come later on today! Yay! :o)

• Friday- I had a good lunch with Dad! We had Chinese and it was nice to get to spend some time with him :) I did some light shopping afterwards. I went to American Eagle, JC Penney, Kohls- without buying a thing! I did do some actual shopping at Walmart & Target though. I got everything for Tyler's Easter basket- and it looks mighty fine!! That evening I didn't do too much, went to Mom's after I picked Tyler up to visit, we also went to a yard sale, and then had a quiet evening at home!

• Saturday- Matt had to work almost the whole day. I did a few things around the house, made a big breakfast, played with toys, and finger painted!! That afternoon I went to town to visit Mom and Dad. Malinda and I had lunch at a local restaurant. And we didn't do too much all afternoon. The weather was horrible! For dinner Tyler and I had grilled cheese and pudding- Tyler's favorite! : )

• Sunday- I went to church. That afternoon we went to Ron and Liz's house for a bit. And then Tyler and I went to my parents to play! It was a quiet Sunday! For dinner, I made chicken chalupas! Very good!

• I hope everyone had a great weekend!!!

Weekend Plans!

I feel like I haven't blogged all week!! We are working on sending out second notices- and trust me- there are A LOT of people who haven't paid their taxes yet! You wouldn't believe it!

Today- I am leaving work at 10:30 to go to the doctors, eat lunch with Dad, and do a little shopping! I can't wait!! Tonight, I have no plans.. and the weather will probably be too bad to walk all weekend :(

Saturday- no plans!

Sunday- Church, and then no plans! I love weekends like this!!!

Wordless Wednesday

Taco Night!

Last night I walked after work and then asked Malinda if she wanted to come out for dinner. Since Matt was at class. It was so nice that we decided to eat outside!!

* I am looking forward to having NO plans this weekend! Yay!

* I have a doctors appointment Friday mid morning. I am having lunch with Dad, which I'm looking forward to! And then I plan on going to Walmart and Target. I need to get a few groceries, and all the stuff for Tyler's Easter basket. I'm not sure when I'll make it back up there before Easter, so I figured I might as well get it now! I am also going to get Tyler a pair of tennis shoes! Since he will be walking soon! :)

Weekend Recap!!

Friday- I went walking after work- the weather was perfect! That evening, Matt ended up having to work late. So Tyler and I had some one-on-one time!

Saturday- That morning, I did some cleaning around the house & played with Tyler. That afternoon, I went to town to walk- it was such a good day to be outside! That evening, I went with some girls to eat at a local fundraiser and then we went to a bar afterwards. I drove myself to the bar, and it was a good thing, because I was only there for like 15 minutes!! I am so far past the bar/party scene!! I got home a little after 10:00 and was able to catch the end of a movie with Matt :o)

Sunday- Tyler and I went to church and to a shower afterwards. My gift was two books. Have You Seen My Cat, and a shapes book. Both are classic Eric Carle books.
That afternoon, I picked up trash on my churches adopt-a-highway. I had picked up some one weeknight last week by my house also, and it was HORRIBLE! The road I did yesterday wasn't too bad, because there is another guy that picks it up too. The stretch of highway by my house I pick up at is adopted by someone too, but they never pick it up. How aggravating.
After finishing picking up trash, I went to Mom's to visit. For dinner, I made pork chops with mushroom gravy. It was a great day!

Isn't this the coolest pillow ever? Mom got it for me a long time ago. It looks exactly like a Monarch Butterfly. Tyler loves dragging on the pillows off the couch and wrestling with them on the ground.

Weekend Plans!

Tonight- I am going to walk after work. Then have a movie night with Matt and Tyler!

Saturday- Maybe some house cleaning in the morning, then a walk some in the afternoon, and who knows what else! That evening I have plans to eat at a local fundraiser with some girlfriends! Should be a good night!

Sunday- Spring Begins!!! YAY!
Tyler and I are going to church, and then to a baby shower afterwards for a friend.
That evening I have no plans.. maybe spend more time outside!!

How cool is it?! A lot of stuff from the 50's is so neat to me. I love retro!
I'm not saying I am doing my kitchen like this- but you never know! :)

Tator Tot Casserole

I made this Monday night. This recipe is a classic for our family. I'm not quite sure where we got it from either- but it is a keeper!

Tator Tot Casserole

1 lb hamburger
1 chopped onion

-Brown and drain.

Mix 1 can cream of mushroom soup and 1 cup milk with the hamburger. Put in 9x13 pan. Sometimes I use a smaller pan if I don't want many leftovers. Place on pkg of tator tots on top. The recipe actually calls to mix the mushroom soup and milk together and pour over the tator tots, but this way seems better to be.

Bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours . It usually doesn't take that long- just whenever the tots are golden brown.
