1. Fresh linen.





2. Flowers - especially Lilacs.





3. New car smell.





4. A newborn baby- no scent like that one!





5. Fresh cut grass- smells like summer!





6. Fresh rain!





7. Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies!





8. Actually anything baking.. banana bread.... homemade bread... brownies.. I could go on and on..





9. Fall scents- cinnamon, apple pie, pumpkin roll- I love all Scentsy's fall scents.





10. Green apples- candles, lotions & hand soaps!





11. Johnson baby lotion.





12. Kettle corn. Reminds me of Silver Dollar City!





13. Subway- does any one else just LOVE the smell of Subway?! Almost as good as the sandwiches taste!

Bonus!! I decided to add 13 of my least favorite smells too!!

1. Cigars/ cigarettes.





2. Beer- I don't like the taste or smell- that goes for pretty much any alcoholic drink there is.





3. Baby powder. most people like this smell, but for some reason it is just not good at all!



4. Iron medicine- Tyler had to take this for a little while- can you say gross?!





5. The city. I would hate to live in the big city and have to breathe in that pollution smell!





6. Germ-X- I like what it does- kill germs. But I can't stand the smell.





7. Coconut.





8. Bad body odor- just plain gross!





9. Bad breath. Do I need to even explain this one?!





10. Garbage- I am obsessed with taking the trash out. I don't like trash in the house AT ALL!





11. Strong perfume. Even the best perfume in the world is going to stink when you use 1/2 bottle a week! The less the better!





12. Dirty diapers- of course this one is a bad one!





13. Fast Food. I hate that greasy smell!

RaNdOmS!

* I tried a new 'recipe' last night! I had smoked sausage and pepperoni and home, and decided to make a homemade pizza with them! I made my crust- and it turned out perfect. Then it was time for the sauce....umm... didn't realize until then that I didn't have any sauce at home!! So I mixed to cans of tomato sauce with some basil, oregano, and garlic powder! It actually turned out tasting better than store bought pizza sauce! Overall it was a great dinner- one that I will for sure have to try again!!


* I have had a cough for about a week now.. and it sucks! But I think it's getting better. And I found these yummy cough drops! They don't taste near as strong as some kinds.

* I saw my first back to school ad yesterday. Makes me so glad that I don't have to go back!! :)

* It is supposed to be a WARM weekend!! We don't have much planned either. I want to get some swimming and lots of play time in!

* I should of said that Tyler and I don't have any plans, because Matt does, he will be in the hay Friday and Saturday for sure. That's fun stuff!

* I ordered 2 gifts from the Thirty One party i went to. One for an anniversary gift, and one for a birthday. I also ordered a zipper pouch, to put my make up and deodorant in when I'm at work (since I go to the gym at noon). Can't wait to get the stuff in!

* Tyler is all into blocks! He had a tower going the other day- it was funny! He is also into pointing at stuff and babbling. Not sure what he is trying to say, but it is so cute!

* Tyler has also gotten to where he runs up to me at Rata's. He was usually always so occupied with playing, that he didn't even notice me. But now, he runs up to me and throws his arms up!! It is adorable!

Wordless Wednesday

Weekend Recap!

Friday- I left afterwork to get a spray tan- I can't believe how white I was!! I didn't do too much afterwards.

Saturday- Had a quiet morning at home. That afternoon, Tyler and I headed to the wedding reception (Matt was already there, because he was a bartender). It was a pretty good time! I spent a majority of the afternoon sitting on the playground with my sister-in-law, Allison. It was nice to get to catch up with her!

I took Tyler to mom and dad's around 7:00 and then went back to the dance. There wasn't many people we knew there so we actually ended up leaving there around 10:30!! It was much an earlier night than I thought it would be!

Sunday- I went to church and Karen's going away party. It's so weird to think she won't be there next Sunday. Sure is going to be a big change for sure.

That afternoon, I went to the Thirty One party at Malinda's house. I still don't know what I am getting.. she isn't turning the order in until later this week, so I took a book home to look at. I think I am going to get some gifts for a few people, because I sure don't need anymore bags :)

That evening, we spent it as a family! It was a pretty good time just hanging out with Tyler & Matt!!

This week..

Monday- visitation for one of our neighbors (we don't have any real neighbors.. it's more like someone out in our neck of the woods :) ... and then we are dropping our house plans of at Matt's aunt. Matt has been doing some work on them himself lately. And since Matt's uncle is going to have some time VERY soon (he has to finish 1 house they are currently working on!! :) .. we need to get the plans finished!

Thursday & Friday- Rata is off, Mom is watching Tyler for me!

...and then it's already 4th of July weekend!!

Weekend Plans!

This morning I woke up with a horrible migraine. I am starting to feel better now, and don't plan on being on the computer much today- since the screen is always hard on headaches. I used to get migraines all the time, but haven't had one in a while, and I almost forgot how much they suck!! But my diet Pepsi and Hershey bar are helping- caffeine is my best friend today!

As for my weekend...

Tonight I am getting a spray tan & then relaxing!

Saturday- Matt is going to the wedding at noon. Tyler and I are coming after his nap. Seeing as how the wedding starts at noon and is about 45 minutes away, that would be too long of a day for him without a good nap. But we should be there in time to eat and will get plenty of visit time with family & friends. Between the dinner and dance I am going to take Tyler to mom and dad's and then head back to the dance. Should be a fun day!

Sunday- Karen's last day *tear*.. we have her going away dinner after church. That afternoon, Malinda is having a Thirty One party at her house (it isn't her party, they girl is just using her house to have it) .. so Tyler and I will probably go to that.

Randoms

* This week has been a busy one! Here is a run down of what I've been up to, and the plans for the next couple of days!

• Monday, Tyler and I went with Malinda to Rolla to do her coupon shopping. She loves the show Extreme Couponing, and she saved about $160!


• Tuesday- I went to a card workshop. You pay $5 and an instructor shows you how to make homemade cards! We made 3 and a box thing- I will post pics soon! I loved it!!!


• Wednesday- This was my only night 'off' this week! I walked around town after work- I love this weather!


• Thursday (today)- I am leaving at noon for a dentist appointment. Malinda is going with me and we are planning on doing some light shopping & eating lunch at Panera!


• Friday- I am getting a spray tan in the evening- way overdue!

* And this weekend is going to be a busy one too! We have the wedding Saturday, and then Sunday we have Karen's going away party, and I am going to a Thirty One party!

* I can't believe June is almost over- the summer is going by way too fast!

* The other night we put Tyler in a new sleeper. I didn't wash it first (like you're supposed to do with new clothes, but I've never had a problem with Tyler breaking out before, so I figured it was okay).. well I was wrong! Tyler woke up at midnight with a rash. So we gave him a bath and played for 1/2 hour to see if it went away. It did go away, but Tyler was hard to get back to sleep- since he was wanting to play with all his toys! I was surprisingly not tired at all yesterday- Matt on the other hand, was wore out! I told him it was because I'm so much younger.. :) just kidding, honey!

* On Sunday, Tyler and I were playing with toys, and he accidentally hit me with a play phone. Right on my nose! It didn't bleed, but it sure did hurt, and now I have a hump on my nose! It's a small one, so small that most people wouldn't notice it- but I do! I am hoping it goes back down soon! LOl

Sweet Strawberries!

Tyler loves strawberries! Here are some pictures of him at dinner last week.

He is into making a 'fake smile' for pictures occasionally. You can tell with these first couple of pictures!

My Dad taught him to do the "MMM" phrase when he eats- it's adorable! I think he was doing it in this picture!

For dessert we had pudding- Tyler favorite part was the sprinkles!! You can tell by how he is by passing the pudding for them!

Almost too BIG for a Sink Bath!

During the week (at least this summer) Tyler usually gets a bath in the sink vs the tub. Usually because we are short on time in the evenings. But I am starting to think that he is getting a little too big that that!

He loves having the water running, he is always amazed by it!

My Computer is Back!!!!!

You don't realize how much you use your computer until you don't have it anymore!! Luckily the tech guy was able to fix it quickly! So, now I am going to be catching up on blogging!! :)

Father's Day!

Hello, everyone! I feel like I haven't blogged in forever!! My computer at work has a virus on it, which may not get fixed until next week, so I can only blog from home- and who has time for that with a 16 month old at home?? umm... not me!! So bare with me with my posts!!


Here is a brief recap of what our Father's Day weekend consisted of:


* Lots of family time.
*Playing with blocks, in the swimming pool, puzzles & reading books.
*Church -only 1 more Sunday with Karen :(
* A great BBQ Saturday night.
* I got a few good workouts in!
* Did I mention family time??! Cause we had a lot of that - I love it!


Here are some pictures from Father's Day!



Mom helped me make these for Ron, Matt & Dad. They turned out great! And I tried some of Dad's and they tasted just as good as they look!


Opening gifts!!



Tyler and I (okay, basically it was just me:) picked out Sticky Pig BBQ Sauce (the best sauce-EVER), a fishing picture frame, and all three got the same mouse pad.




Now we have to take Tyler fishing to get a picture to put in the frame!

I didn't get any pictures from breakfast with Matt's family, since ti was at a restaurant, I would of felt a little weird taking pictures there! But I got Ron a sign (like Mom's for her retirement), some BBQ sauce, and a mouse pad (can you tell I was on a theme??! : )

Over all it was a great weekend!

Thanks Dad, for being the best Dad ever!! Between the concerts, drag races, great talks & memories, I have a lot to be thankful for when it comes to my Daddy!

Weekend Plans!

Friday- I'm skipping the gym today for a lunch date with mom and Malinda- can't wait! This evening, I might walk - all depends on the weather!

Saturday- Might go to a scrap booking party- depends on if Matt's in the hay. That evening, we're going to the rehearsal dinner for Will's wedding.

Sunday- Father's Day- Breakfast with Ron, Church, and then no plan in the afternoon. That evening we are going to the cabin to have dinner for dad and Matt!

I hope everyone has a great weekend- and treats the 'Dad' in their life good!

Thursday Thirteen

Since I am having a blah moment with my creative side, I thought I'd just use my 'Thursday Thirteen' for my random things this week! Next week I will be back with a creative list :)


1. The only part I am dreading about the addition to our house is that there will be more to clean! Since we are building another level on, we will practically have two houses, but it will be so nice to have so much more room!

2. I am contemplating doing digital scrap booking. A friend posted some of her pages on her blog- and they look amazing! That would be easier for me, since I could do it on my computer. But I'm still thinking about it!

3. Tyler seems to be growing more and more everyday! Everyday he does something new and it is so amazing to witness him growing up!

4. This weekend is Father's Day! I think we are planning on going to breakfast on Sunday morning for Ron and then having dinner at the cabin for Dad & Matt that evening. Should be a good time!

5. I am thinking about wearing a dress to the wedding next Saturday. I love wearing dresses, especially since it will be sooo hot out! I tried on my one I bought last year from Abercrombie & Finch. It still fits - thank you gym membership- but it is really short!! I didn't mind wearing it to the wedding in St Louis, because I only knew a handful of people there, plus I didn't have a toddler to chase around there either :)

6. Pastor Karen only has two Sundays left. Kind of hard to believe!! It's going to be so weird not seeing her anymore, not only at church, but around town too.

7. I am going to make an appointment to get a spray tan next Friday. I figure whatever I do wear will show some leg, so I better have some kind of a tan :)

8. I can't believe that June is almost already over!! This year is flying by so fast!!

9. I have been eating A LOT of fruit lately!! Nectarines, peaches, strawberries, red apples, bananas, you name it, I've been eating it! Eating better sure makes a person feel better!!

10. Today is Ron & Liz's anniversary! I want to say they have been married for 4 years??! I think that is right. All I remember is that is was really hot!!

11. I am going to try to get all my Christmas shopping done in July. That way, when Christmas time comes, I won't have to worry about it. I have a list of what I'm getting everyone, so it's just the matter of buying everything! I love being ahead of the game :)

12. My friend from college had her baby two days ago. She lives in Wyoming now, which is where she is from. She only lived here so her fiance could go to UMR. This is one of the reasons I like facebook. Because without it, I wouldn't even know where she was or anything!

13. We sold a couple of cows yesterday! Yay... means $$ in the bank for us!

Wind Blown!!

I bought this skirt from Fashion Bug last week. I love it! It's so cool, and is so much more comfortable than jeans! But there is something I need to remember when wearing a skirt...

At noon, I got out at the gym and went to my trunk to get my work out clothes. And the wind completely blew up my skirt!! And there was a truck driving by at the time!!

I didn't even turn around. I just pretended like nothing happened. So maybe no one noticed?! - I can hope so!!

It's quite funny if you ask me, plus it gave me something to blog about :)

My New Favorite Snack!

I mentioned Matt having a bake sale for Relay For Life today in an earlier post. I decided to make 'bunny bait' I found the recipe from a blog I read.

It was sooooo good! Just the right combination of sweet & salty!!

I used basically the same recipe she used, except for I used a different kind of chocolate.

Here's the recipe!

Bunny Bait - I'm calling it Candied Popcorn- since it's not for Easter.

2 bags popped white popcorn
1 package almond bark
1 bag m&ms
sprinkles

Melt chocolate. Mix into popped popcorn, m&ms & sprinkles (I didn't measure the sprinkles you can never have too many sprinkles :) . Spread out on wax paper (like you would Chex mix) and let dry.

I bagged mine up and used purple ribbon- since purple is the color of Relay For Life. I also made some rice crispe treats! Can you tell I didn't want to turn my oven on??! I originally wanted to bake cookies, but it's just too darn hot for that!

Weekend Recap!!

Friday- I walked that evening with Tyler. It was still a little warm out- but I got a good workout!! After Tyler went to bed, Matt worked on the house plans (which I will post soon!) and I watched some tv!

Saturday- While the boys were at breakfast, I ran a few errands. I went to the post office, bank, store/dollar store and gym! It was a productive morning!

That afternoon, I did a few things around the house, played with Tyler and visited mom and dad.

That evening, we headed down to the cabin. I didn't take any pictures :(.. because I forgot my camera card.. but next time I won't forget it!! We roasted hot dogs, made smores, played with trucks, and just took in the beautiful evening! We planned to stay the night, but after mom and dad left, we tried to get Tyler ready for bed, but when we put him down in his play pen, he stood right up and started crying, so we decided to just go home, and try again some other time : ) .. he hasn't had much experience sleeping anywhere but his own crib. He spent the night at mom's with me when he was a few months old (matt was at a conference in Canada), and at Malinda's house when he was about 6 months old, so he is used to his crib : )

It was still a lot of fun though!

Sunday- I went to church. For lunch, mom, dad, matt, tyler & I all went to a local restaurant! It was a good time!!

That afternoon, I didn't accomplish much at all!! We worked in the garden, played in the pool, and did a few other random things.

That evening, I went to town to walk. It was the perfect Sunday!

This week...

Tonight- I was going to start walking a local county road tonight- but the rain is going to have to change my plans! I figured instead of driving into town every night, that I'd walk the county road closet to my house- which is about 1 minute I think!- I think it will work out great! And since my stroller is made for off-roading, I might as well use it for that!!

Tuesday- I am going to make a few things for Matt to take to a bake sale at work. It's for the Relay for Life-such a good cause!

Thursday- Ron & Liz's anniversary.

Saturday- Rehearsal dinner for Will & Angela's wedding.

& Sunday is Father's day!!!

Weekend Plans!

Note: I don't have anything new on Mike. I know he got bad last night, but he is still hanging on. All we can do now is pray!

As for my weekend...

Tonight- I will probably walk around town after it cools off-weather permitting. And then maybe watch a movie with Matt :)

Saturday- I have a few little chores planned for the morning. It is supposed to cool off (the 80's) so if it isn't raining I might take an afternoon walk! We are planning on going to the cabin that evening- should be fun! We are planning on swimming, smores, roasted hot dogs,etc .. going to be fun!

Sunday- Going to try to make it to church .. that's hard to do when you spend the night at the cabin, but Karen's only got a few Sundays left (3 to be exact!!), so I'm gonna try to make it!! We don't have anything planned the rest of the weekend!

Weekly Randoms & More Pictures!

* Mike (Matt's Uncle) isn't doing very good. Just got an email saying he was in surgery. Doesn't sound good at all. All we can do know is hope everything turns out for the best.

* It is supposed to cool down a little this weekend. I am ready for it!! I like it warm, but when it is too hot to play outside, it's not my cup of tea!

* Malinda left for New York this morning. I hope she has fun! I am jealous of her though :)

* My favorite 'meal' lately has been BLTs. Can't wait to use some garden tomatoes instead of ones from the store!

* Speaking of tomatoes.. my garden is looking awesome!!! Everything is sprouting up!! I need to get out in it and pull some weeds .. then I'll post a picture :)

* I can't wait to go to the cabin this weekend!! I already have a tote of stuff packed to take down there!
