I got this chalk board from my parent's house over the weekend. It was one I used when I lived there, not sure where it came from originally. It's funny how it still had my grocery list from when I lived there!! LOL .. I lived in the basement for the last few years I lived there, so I had TONS of space! I loved it. It was like an apartment!

On my list.. 3 yogurts, applesauce, mixed fruit, bottled water & diet soda!

That was a fun trip down memory lane.. onto more pictures of his room!

I'm not 100% done yet.. but here are some pictures to give you an idea of what his room looks like!

Some of the stickers fell down before the picture.. I had to restick them with sticky tack. That worked pretty good!

Still need to put the third shelf up.. it will go to the left of the (little) John Deere thing on the left wall.

The coat rack was always at the 'old cabin'.. mom and dad got it for me to use in his room. I love it!

His toy shelf is moved out of it's spot in the picture.. it's more to the left.

Calendar, 1st birthday signature thing, and there will be a family pic of us hung to the right, as soon as I get a hanger for the back of the picture!

"art area" .. lol.. Chalkboard & coloring table. The shelf will be used to display books and pictures.

The sheets are from Pottery Barn.. I was going to make them.. but it was cheaper to just buy them-- only when Pottery Barn had a free shipping weekend though! LOL

Crib skirt I got from Walmart.

This was above his crib before. I wasn't sure is we'd use it again, but at the last minutes I decided to use it above the closet! I think it looks good!

Geo Track!

Patty and Barry (my Aunt and Uncle) brought this train over last week for Tyler. They were giving it away since their grand kids were past the age to play with it. Tyler LOVES it!!! He played with it all evening last night!!!

Matt liked it too.. he was more excited about it than Tyler was I think : )

*Weekend Recap*

Friday- Mom and I went to the Amish store in town. I've heard the produce was cheap.. we were impressed!! It was WAY cheaper than the local store, and it even looked fresher too!!! I plan on getting all of my produce there from now on!! We then went to get Tyler and we headed to mom and dad's to visit. I ended up staying for dinner, we got take out from a local restaurant. It was a fun evening!! They also watched Tyler while I went to the store and Dollar Store to do my shopping for the week! That is the best time to go- no one was in there! So much more relaxing!

Saturday- Hung around the house and got a few things done. After Tyler's nap we went to mom's to look through the stuff my aunt and uncle brought over. I found some cool stuff! Will post about the items later.

For dinner, I made garlic chicken, loaded mashed potatoes, and a salad. It was so good!

Sunday- Went to Church and got to see 10 people join the church!- one of which was Liz!

Got fireman's BBQ for lunch afterwards.

That afternoon, we spent a lot of time outside, went to visit with mom and dad, and Malinda was there.. I hadn't seen her since last Sunday, so it was nice to see her.

For dinner, I was going to make a honey Chinese chicken dish.. but wasn't motivated enough, and made frozen pizza instead! :)

After dinner, we hung up stuff in Tyler's room!!! I'll post pictures soon! I love it!

This week...

- plan on rushing to get Tyler everyday this week to take advantage of the beautiful weather! Going to put the stroller to work! :)

Thursday- There's a funeral dinner at church for a local man. He used to be a coach at school, although he was gone by the time I got into high school. I really like his wife, she was always so friendly when I worked in the store. I plan on making a dish for the dinner.

- I also need to decide what to make for the Superbowl!!! I LOVE appetizers- my all time favorite! I can't wait!

Weekend Plans!

Tonight- Matt is going to be home a little late- he's going to visit his coworker/friend and his new baby. I want to finish up on my cleaning so I won't have to worry about it all weekend! I did a majority of it last night.. but I did leave the hardfloors.. which is the biggest part of all my cleaning! LOL

Saturday- Going to mom and dad's at some point to go through some stuff that my aunt and uncle are bringing over - they're remodeling their house, and are getting rid of some stuff. Other than that no plans.

Sunday- Going to church and getting lunch from the local fireman's BBQ- I love their BBQ! I have a few other things I want to get done this weekend, but nothing too note worthy.

Wordless Wednesday

Randoms!

*I got an email over the weekend that Picnik is closing in April. It's where I edit my pictures at. I actually just started using it again- bummer! The email mentioned going to something in Google..will have to check into it.

* I feel like I've been neglecting my blog lately. And I have to blame Pinterest!! I spend a lot of time on there. But I am going to limit my usage of ALL the sites I look at. I spend too much time looking at mindless stuff!!

* I have also been neglecting my picture taking lately because all of my camera cards were full!!! I had Matt download them all last night. So I should be back with pictures tomorrow!! Yay! ps. the ones taken Sunday (of Tyler sleeping) I was able to take b/c I deleted my avocado sandwich picture! :)

* Sure is nice out today. I don't think I'm going to walk though. I'm almost over this darn head cold, and don't want to jeopardize keeping it any longer!! When it's still kind of cold out, I hate to get Tyler out in it anyways. Not worth him getting a cold.

* I only have a few more things to get ready for Tyler's party and I'll be done! Good thing, since his birthday is a couple of weeks away! I am taking off early the Friday before his party to do my house cleaning. I just don't feel like spending all day Saturday cleaning house.

* I think on his actually birthday I'm going to make homemade cheese pizza! Seems like his favorite food right now. And then I'm going to make a cake for dessert! Maybe an ice cream cake!? I love those!!

* I have decided to limit my facebook friends to people who I actually "know". I have around 380 right now, but there are some people who have added me that I have never actually spoke to. We know each other because it's a small town. The main reason for this is I hate to scroll down through a bunch of newsfeed on people I don't even know to get to the people I want to read about.

* I also went through my Google Reader and got rid of blogs I don't read anymore. Seems silly to just delete them every day (sometimes multiple times a day!) None of them were personal blogs though. Most were from the Cheezburger site.

Tired Boy..

This is what I came home to after church on Sunday....

Matt said that Tyler was fussy during lunch, so he let him out of his seat. Then he got fussy again, so Matt gave him some peanut butter crackers. And he threw them and laid on the floor. Matt let him lay there for a few minutes, and then he noticed he was sleeping!!

Haha! Poor kid must of been worn out! :)

Weekend Recap!

Friday- Had taco salads for dinner and spent the evening at home!

Saturday-Did my house cleaning while Matt and Tyler were at the coffee shop in the morning. Matt left right once he got home and was gone all day helping burn a field. Tyler and I played, he took a good nap, went grocery shopping, and went to my parents house for a visit. For dinner I made Shake n' Bake chicken breasts.. was going to try a new chicken recipe, but didn't feel too ambitious! :)

Sunday- Made a huge breakfast! Eggs, biscuits and hash browns with cheese! I didn't even need nay lunch! I went to church afterwards. That afternoon, Matt worked on Tyler's birthday present and I did a few things around the house. Tyler and I went to visit mom after his nap. For dinner I made sausage fajitas (again! I love those things!).

This week ..

Tonight- blood drive at church. I don't' give because it makes me sick, but Matt does. I wouldn't be able to give this time anyways.. I have a head cold!

and no plans the rest of the week!

Avocado Sandwich

I made the BEST sandwich the other night! I found the recipe on Pinterest.. I'll post the link in a later post. Don't feel like tracking it down right now..

Matt liked it to! So it's a new favorite!

Avocado Sandwich

It's pretty simple... just like a grilled cheese with sliced pepperoni (I got mine from the deli at the store, so much better than the packaged!), sliced mozzarella cheese and of course, sliced avocados.

Just grill until you consider it done!

Yum!
