I know I already wished you all a good weekend in a previous post, but since I won't be on the computer again before July begins, I thought I better go a head and post my month plans!
*4th of July. Not sure what we're doing yet. It probably won't involve fireworks though! It's way too dry for that!
* Matt will be gone a few days next week to Michigan.
* My Mom's birthday! We're going to have dinner and cake for her on her actual birthday (the 7th) can't wait!
* An auction I might go to- weather permitting.
* Bible School. I'm in charge of the 4 year olds. I told the leader, Becky, that I didn't want to lead a class by myself, so she putting the 3 & 4 year olds together, so my Aunt Pat and I will do the class together. I am planning on bring Tyler, I think he will have fun watching all the kids and he can participate in the activities too!
* Monthly Card Class.
And much more, I'm sure! I do want to make it to the river some, and just enjoy life!
Happy July everyone!

Randoms & Weekend Plans!
* When looking through old pictures last weekend, I found a bunch of baby shower and wedding pictures. So I made them into scrapbooks. It's only 3 1/2 years after the wedding and all! HA
* I am also done with his 'memory book' from Hallmark. And his 1 year calendar. I've been working on his real scrapbook about every night this week. The first section I'm doing is newborn- 4 months. My goal date was July 1st to have that part done, and I'm going to make it! You won't believe all the stuff I've saved- makes me glad I'm a pack rat (at least with important stuff).. I'll post an overview of the scrapbook(s) next week.
The next section I'm going to do is 5 months- 1 year. I just need to order the pictures then get started. I bought a scrapbook from Hobby Lobby that I think I might be able to fit year 1 in- fingers crossed! It's a huge 3 ring scrapbook, so surely I can make it happen!
Also--- Note to future or new parents: if you're going to scrapbook do it as they grow up- way easier that way! LOL.. it will be worth it in the end though, just going to take a little bit to get it all done.
* I had to go to the doctor on Wednesday. Afterwards I went to Walmart to get some supplies for some projects and then to Hobby Lobby. I was in HL forever! When I go in there with Tyler, he's not into browsing the store, we basically do a fabric raid and get outta there. So I had fun looking at all the decor, etc. They sell some neat stuff in there!
* Yesterday after work I went to mom's house to get some old windows for some projects I'm going to do. I love anything with old windows- and this happened long before Pinterest put the idea in everyones heads! She saved a lot of them from the old school, so it's kind of neat to know where they came from!
Weekend Plans!
Tonight- going to do all the prep work for my painting. I might go ahead and get some other chores out of the way before the weekend gets here.
Saturday- Going to try to get up early and paint our bedroom! I figured I could tackle a lot of it when Matt and Tyler are at breakfast.
That afternoon I don't have anything planned. I might go to an open house, nothing I want to buy, I'm just noisy- HA- at least I'm honest! Then maybe to a wedding reception that evening.
Sunday- Church and then a dinner afterwards. No plans the rest of the day. I haven't looked at the forecast today, but I'm sure it's going to be HOT. So I'm sure it will be an inside day!
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Random Pictures!
Flowers I won at the shower on Sunday! I have them sitting on my kitchen table for decoration until it gets cool enough to plant it! Which will probably be a while!
So many choices!
He loves showing out how he can touch his toes to his noise :)
I found Tyler's a little orange sippy cup. It is the cutest thing!
Just hanging out!
Everything tastes better in a cool cup like that!
Pretty sunset- ignore the telephone lines! haha!
Love this boy :)
A little Albino frog I found last night!! Or well, not sure if it's really Albino, but it was pretty darn cool!
I hope everyone is having a great week! And try to stay cool- it's supposed to get about 106 today.. good grief!
Map Canvases
I finished my map canvases I made for myself over the weekend. If you remember, I made one just like the Missouri one for my Grandma Mozelle for Mother's Day.
I did:
Missouri- home place.
Nebraska- 2 sets of Aunts and Uncles living there, and was were my Grandma lived.
Colorado- Aunt and Uncle living there, and I also have good memories from vacationing there with mom, dad, and Malinda.
Last but not least- Florida- where Grandma Mozelle and Jim live.
And a little heart to show where the family lives!
I love how they turned out!
And they really brightened up my living room! I have some more makeovers coming in the living room soon also!
Laundry Room Makeover
The before pictures:
It just didn't have enough color for me. We all know that I love color!
.. how do you like the model in the pictures?! LOL
The smile face thing I made out of old magazines when I was in high school. I love it!
I spray painted all the shelves a pale blue. I LOVE the orange/blue color scheme!
I also spray painted the scentsy holder box that I use as a trash can for the lint screen! HA!
Found this online and used an old frame I've had laying around the house. Love the saying!
I took the coats down- since we obviously don't need them anytime soon! And put Matt's hats there!
I painted the shelf orange. This shelf came from Grandma Mozelle's house. We saved it from the fire a few years ago.
I lined it with paper because the paint never seemed to dry completely. I think it looks good though!
From the door look!
I got a new hamper because the old one had a rip in it.. but I'm going to put it back together and return it. I just don't like it as much as the old one. I'll just sew up the old one and it will be good as new!
2 signs hanging to the right. One on the left was a gift, the other one I bought. Both from the local store that went out of business. I sure loved that store!!
Left both of these where they were.
Found this idea on Pinterest. Wooden hangers with 11x14 pictures. I decided to use black and white-I love black and white pictures! They are all oldies, but 3 of my favorites!
Next room to tackle: Our bedroom. I'm going for a gray and yellow theme.
Some notes about it:
I'm going to make some yellow chevron (I freaking love chevron!) curtains.
Paint it gray- already have the paint, now just need to find the time to paint! Maybe this weekend!
Some new decor- just some printables, and moving stuff around.
I can't wait to get started!

90's Flash Back!
So who liked the Spice Girls as much as I did in the 90's?! Because I LOVED them!
In the 5th grade some friends and me did an act of them in the talent show at school. I kind kind of remember the routine a little bit too (I should remind you all now that I have a freakishly good memory!)
Everyone was sooo much more into the talent show than I was. They scheduled practices once a week until the show. I had more of the attitude of "lets just have fun!"
I was Ginger Spice - one in the front. I even wanted to dye my hair like that- of course that wasn't allowed! Thanks for saying no, Mom!
We even took a picture just like this one- wish I had a copy of it!
Here is what they look like now... notice the stairs??! They are from the music video Wannabe!!
I love how Victoria Beckam (Posh Spice- far right) never smiles and always looks constipated! haha!
I'm a total geek, because I love seeing what actors/singers/etc look like now. Especially childhood stars, some appearances can be shocking! LOL
All this talk about the Spice Girls makes me want to put a CD of theirs in.. maybe I'll change my Pandora station to them!
Weekend Recap
I was MIA from the blog world yesterday due to being busy at work. I'm sure you all missed me so much :)
We didn't do a whole lot this weekend. It was just so hot! We didn't even make it to the river, it was just a nice weekend to stay around the house! We did do a few projects, but nothing too major. Matt stained the boards to fix Tyler's swing set on Saturday. I did some organizing (drawers, cabinets, stuff on dressers, etc.) ..We went to church on Sunday and then to shower afterwards, I even won one of the attendance prizes!
But other than that, we didn't do too much. And it's supposed to be hot this week too. So I see more air conditioning in my future :)
This week...
...a whole lotta nothing :) .. I love not having plans, if you can't tell! haha!
I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Weekend Plans!
It's been a busy day here. We've been doing some 'spring cleaning'. I love to organize/clean, even if it's not my own house.. I'm crazy, I know!
Tonight- no plans. Might walk after the sun goes down.
Saturday- no plans! Hopefully hit up the river!
Sunday- church and then a wedding shower for a friend. And then maybe some more river time!
I hope everyone has a fun weekend!

4th of July Food Ideas
I'm at a lost of what to blog about today. Not sure why, but nothing is coming to mind. I haven't taken any pictures all week, so I'm kind of lost on my blogging! lol
I have been searching Pinterest for something to make for the 4th of July party we always go to at a friends house. It is actually on the 3rd, the town we're going to has fireworks that night. It's always a fun time and I think Tyler will have a blast!
Here are some of my ideas I'm throwing around. I would like to make something red, white, and blue.. but I only have 1 item like that listed. So who knows! LOL
Crispy Roasted Potato Salad. I like how the potatoes are roasted before hand, so they have a different texture than regular potato salad.
These are my #1 idea right now.. Cheeseburger Rolls. They sound so good right now!
Different kinds of corn on the cob. I thought I could put some in a crock pot. Some of the glazes sound so good! BBQ, maple mustard, herb butter, and Mexican!
Fried Raviolis. I've never tried making these, but people always seem to love them at restaurants!
Lemon Brownies. I'm not a huge lemon fan, but I think I might like these! I'm going to try them out eventually, so I might as well do it when other people can help me eat them :)
Last but not least.. colored pudding cups. If I make this I will probably just make in a 9x13 pan. Since I'm working that day, I will only have a couple of hours to get stuff ready!
hmm.. I probably have more ideas... there is just too many choices!
Hope everyone has been having a good Thursday so far! I'm 10 minutes from departure! LOL

Weekly Randoms
* I have card class tonight. I made some cupcakes (out of the box) and homemade frosting to take. It is the instructor's birthday later this week, so I thought it would be nice to surprise her with a treat :)
* I can't believe the new movie they came out with. It's called Magic Mike. It is about male strippers. If you watch TV, I'm sure you've seen the commercials I guess I'm getting old and boring, because I can't see anyone wanting to watch it. I actually thought it was a joke! LOL
* When I went to the store on Saturday, I noticed as I passed a local church a name on the board, it was the name of one of my old friends son. I was speechless. I went to the store and asked Sheri to see if she knew what happened, she said he had a brain tumor. I noticed a couple of months ago his name being on the prayer list at church, and emailed the pastor to ask what he was on it for. He replied (via email) "looks like I can't help you, most people get put on the prayer list and I don't know who or why they are on there".... you would think he would make it his business to know... and save me the comments of how he's busy, etc.. just seems to me that he could of tried to ask someone.
The boy, Austin, was only 3 and was a twin. I feel so bad for Kindra (the mom) and his brother, Dalton. Kindra and I were really good friends when I worked at the store. She was the produce manager and I was the pricing manager. She made it fun to go to work everyday, and I can honestly say it was the best job I've ever had. We became disconnected about the time I got married. She quit the store and was dating a guy that I didn't want to be associated with (the father of the twins).. so we kind of lost touch.
It just really makes me want to hold tight to Tyler. I can't imagine having that happen to him. I guess it's nice to know that your time is limited, but then again, that would be hard to deal with knowing that he wouldn't be around to grow up.
I guess we all just have to count our blessings and live each day like it's our last!
* I have been putting off trying on my capris from last summer, but I finally gave in a couple of days ago. To my surprise, they FIT! I am glad I don't have to buy all new clothes! yay!
* The only thing bad about card class is that it seems to take up so much of the evening. It starts at 6:00 and lasts until 8:00- unless everyone gets done early. I still enjoy doing it, just wish there were more hours in the day! :)
* A few tidbits about Tyler lately
* My laundry room makeover is almost done! I did some painting (not the walls), hung up some new decor and did some deep cleaning. I'll try to post some pictures later this week!
That's about all for now!
I hope everyone is having a great week so far!

* A few tidbits about Tyler lately
- He is saying more, and more words lately! And putting them into sentences. It's so neat!
- He also is getting better at counting too! He loves to count everything- all the numbers might not be in the right order, but they are all there :)
- He has been climbing into his own car seat for a while now! He doesn't even like to get help- it's so cute! He sure is growing fast!
- I feel like there is so much more to report on him, but I just can't remember them all right now! I need to make notes!

Mod Podge Your Mousepad
I found the idea to mod podge your mouse pad on Pinterest and decided to try it! The site for the directions is here. I didn't ink the edges or spray the matte finish on mine. I might still do the matte finish, just haven't done it yet.
I hated to cover up sweet little Tyler's face, but it was getting old looking, and I kind of live by the motto "you can't keep everything".. :)
Here is the directions!
Grab your supplies! I plan on making my own mod podge once I run out of the store bought kind. The homemade version looks really easy and way cheaper too!
Spread the mod podge over the mouse pad. Place the cut measured fabric on top and mod podge the top.
And... there you have it! It really seemed to brighten up my desk!
Just for fun I took a picture of my desk to show you how clean it is :) .. I love keeping it organized!
I can't wait to try using mod podge for another project soon!!

Weekend Pictures!
..and not in any order whatsoever! HA!
Tyler giving Matt his Father's Day gift! You can see Tyler's little smile from the side of his face!
yumm... cool ranch Doritos!
Helping make cupcakes! He loves cooking!
Showing off his gift to Matt! I also got Matt a Kindle Fire!
Fun @ the river!
Knocked out on Daddy's lap!
He loves the water!
Hanging out!
Dad opening his gift! I bought him some Tastefully Simple stuff- since he loves to grill!
And I made him a picture like I made Matt!
"Hi!"
Cute picture!
Up close picture of it. I used old Scrabble letters from Mom's old game. I thought it turned out pretty cute!
Splish, Splash!
Having fun with his new fishing pole! He loved it! It floats and has a little alligator that you tie the line to.
I think these were taken when Mom and Dad left to take the boat out.. he looks worried, doesn't he?!
I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!
