Speedy

One of the special cats in my life made her way to kitty heaven last week. She was my favorite cat growing up. She was actually my neighbor/cousins cat. But I treated her as my own. 

She would spend the nights with me when I lived at my parents house. I swear, that cat could hold her "business" for hours and hours, just to stay in when it was cold! 

In the last few years she had been failing. I would buy her cans, since she didn't have any teeth, and couldn't eat the dry food. She also lost a lot of her fur- like big patches at a time. 

It's somewhat of a relief now that she is gone. Not because I didn't want to deal with her anymore, more of the fact that I don't have to wonder if she is okay, especially in this cold weather. 

She'll always be my favorite cat no matter what- shh! don't tell Mose! :) 

Just thankful for the good memories of her! 

I have had this "framed" (using a blue mason jar) in my house for a couple of years now. I love it. I'm holding Speedy as a kitten, and Malinda is holding Cuddles, her sister. 

The picture even made it on Tyler's birth announcement!

Speedy doesn't like all the attention :)

Tyler hasn't asked about Speedy yet, and I don't think he will. Even if he did I would just tell him that she isn't up (on the deck). 

But I'm afraid that when Mose passes, it's going to be a crisis! Mose will just be outside -like this morning for example- he was asking where Mose was, and he was just outside! 

I'm sure some people that are reading this are thinking that I'm insane. And all I have to say to that is that I love my cats more than I like most people, no kidding. They are like family to me!

You'll be forever missed, Speedy!
